Meanings of Moss

te Poele has been experimenting with moss as a medium for a while, as it is a natural material that reflects the beauty of nature. She has a fondness for materials we normally quickly pass by, she wants to shed new light on them.

Especially for her solo exhibition at Franx, she has created a spatial installation that can evoke a subjective experience of nature.
It might be possible that one can actually ‘disappear’ into the installation to experience the work.

Through that experience, one can feel enlightened or confused, but either way one establishes a connection with this created landscape and oneself. Through her work, she invites others to discover the world around us in a new way discover.

This installation has been made possible by a contribution from the Cultuur Fonds for which she is very grateful to the fund.
