This artwork looks like a 17th century painting. That lemon and that egg, laid out so precisely on a table, fit perfectly with the still life that Dutch and Flemish masters made at the time. But plastic – which can also be seen at work – only emerged in the early 20th century. And although it is indispensable in modern life, it has also become one of the biggest problems in the world.
